This is my today's lunch  ,  KATSUDON with fried prawn.

KATSUDON is  Japanese traditional food.

Fried pork with scrambled eggs on the top of it and rice is covered with them.

Wheat flour is used when pork is fried.

 

DON means rice with something on the top of it.

( for example   TEN-DON  ,GYU-DON  ,OYAKO-DON and so on.....)

 

KATSU means wheat flour fried pork.

Stir fried noodle with sauce thickened with starch on the top of it.

We often use starch to thicken the broth.

The broth will be very viscous.
